Hi, I’m Carrie Pagès!
Founder of CarriePagesPilates.com + In Balance Pilates Studio
I’m a Pilates Instructor, Studio Owner, Teacher Trainer, and Pilates Nerd for Life!
I’m a full-time Pilates instructor and lifelong mover who’s passionate about helping other teachers stay inspired, avoid burnout, and love what they do again.
I started my Pilates journey the scrappy way—sneaking into a tiny basement studio at the North Carolina School of the Arts where I was training to be a professional ballet dancer. I had no formal Pilates training at the time… just some posters on the wall and a whole lot of curiosity. That curiosity turned into a full-blown obsession.
After dancing led to injury (and a major identity shift), I quit dancing, shifted gears, and went all-in on Pilates. I earned my full comprehensive certification through PilateSystems with Colleen Glenn and Karen Sanzo. In 2002, I opened Wilmington’s very first Pilates studio—In Balance Pilates Studio—with one reformer, zero clients, and a dream to change lives with Pilates.
Fast forward to today:
- My online studio, CarriePagesPilates.com, now has 400+ on-demand classes—designed especially for instructors who want to teach better, move smarter, and stay inspired.
- I’m the proud winner of the 2016 Pilates Anytime’s Next Instructor Competition, and I still can’t believe I’m a Pilates Anytime instructor.
- I’ve trained hundreds of teachers, hosted sold-out workshops, launched mentorship retreats, and built a social media community of 45K+ Pilates-loving humans.
- My brick-and-mortar studio is a thriving boutique space with 3 rooms, 10 Reformers, 6 Chairs, a Cadillac, and a wellness suite.

But most importantly—I’ve stayed obsessed with teaching.
My superpower? Making you fall (back) in love with Pilates through creative flows, thoughtful progressions, and content that actually makes sense for your real-life teaching.
If you’ve ever found yourself stuck in a teaching loop, overthinking every cue, or wondering where your spark went… you’re not alone. I’ve been there too. Let’s get you moving, inspired, and in love with teaching again.
